I have very muscular calves (years of ballet and genes too) so I shopped around online for a long time to find a pair of wellies that would go over my calves with space to tuck in jeans. These are perfect! They’re adjustable so if you are blessed with skinny legs, they’ll fit just fine too. The shoe of the boot was a little more narrow than I expected. I wear a 8. 5 and I bought the boots in 9. They fit just fine but I can’t imagine wearing really thick, warm socks with them. If you want to wear thick socks, go an extra size up. Of course, like all wellies they smell a little bit at first. But if you just set them next to an open window for a few days, the rubber odor goes away. I really love these boots. They’re sophisticated and simple but very fun to wear! I’ve received a lot of compliments already. =]
